One of the most classic ways to celebrate Mother’s Day is with a terrific brunch to kick off the day. Let mom sleep in and then head out to enjoy some delicious food and fun conversation.
Thankfully, there is never any shortage of Mother’s Day brunch options in the Milwaukee area, but they can fill up fast. Many Mother’s Day brunch events will require you to register ahead of time, so there is no time to delay. Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 14 this year, so explore some of the brunch options we’ve hunted down for you below. Before finalizing your plans, however, be sure to give the venue a call to make sure there is still room for your party.
If letting a restaurant do the cooking isn’t special enough, you can have the kids attend the Make and Take event the Saturday prior to Mother’s Day, where they will spend 90 minutes prepping a brunch for mom that includes frittata, cinnamon rolls and fruit salad.
Reserve a spot for brunch at The Pfister Hotel on Mother’s Day. The meal takes place in the hotel’s grand ballroom and features a menu of spring orecchiette pasta salad, grilled asparagus, shucked oysters, cold smoked salmon, eggs benedict foster, maple-glazed pork tenderloin, tons of desserts and a whole lot more.
This James Beard Award-nominated restaurant is hosting a three-course Mother’s Day brunch with options that include grilled leg of lamb, asparagus and goat cheese quiche, crepes suzette and much more. Moms with a sophisticated palate should enjoy this one.
The Capital Grille will have four brunch features in addition to their full dinner menu on Mother’s Day, with brunch served from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Brunch features include lobster frittata, bone-in dry aged New York strip steak and eggs, filet mignon and smoked salmon with caviar.
If you would rather enjoy brunch at home, Apple Holler over in Sturtevant has you covered. Order a holiday meal package so that the hard part of cooking is done for you. Many of the available options are more on the lunch or dinner side than breakfast, but it can still make for a special Mother’s Day celebration. Options include prime rib, turkey breast and ham, with side dishes that include mashed potatoes, honey-glazed carrots, apple pie, homemade mac and cheese and much more.

Whether you’re a mom yourself or someone looking to treat mom to a delicious meal, you may have concerns over how you can celebrate with a big meal while still eating healthy. The first thing to remember, even if you’re set some strict dietary wellness goals for yourself, is that it can be OK to treat yourself sometimes.
But if you want to make sure you don’t overdo things, we have some tips. Taking control of the cooking at home is the best way to make sure you’re eating healthy, but that isn’t always the best way to celebrate Mother’s Day. So, if you’re going out, try these tips instead.
