Mental Health Awareness Week

NAMI Mental Health

Although people don’t often like to talk about it, mental illness is a common health issue. It’s important to understand that a mental health concern is no different than a physical health issue. NAMI Fox Valley is working hard to change people’s perceptions about mental health and offer the treatment and support desperately needed in our communities.

Mental Illness Awareness Week is October 4- 10. Please join Network Health in recognizing this important health week and participate in the third annual NAMI Bowl-a-Thon.

When: Saturday, October 3
Event Time: 10:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Bowling Times:
11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. |2:00 – 4:30 p.m.

Where: Super Bowl Family Entertainment Center
222 E. Northland Ave | Appleton, WI

Register:http://www.firstgiving.com/namifoxvalley/bowlathon2015

All the money raised from the Bowl-a-Thon stays right here in the community. This important fundraiser will help support NAMI Fox Valley’s programs, including their Teen Support Groups, Adult Support Groups, and Family-to-Family Program as well as their peer-run respite center, Iris Place. NAMI Fox Valley’s advocacy and outreach efforts have improved the lives of people affected by mental illness throughout our community. Please consider joining us and showing your support.

We hope to see you there.
